Why a Strategy?

"Everything should be made as simple as possible. But not simpler."

                                                                                Albert Einstein

Strategy work begins with an examination of the company's own starting position and the market situation, its strengths and weaknesses, opportunities and risks. The changes in the automotive market require us to rethink our strategy. Acting more efficiently and entering new markets is an absolute must.

Our future image, our vision, follows the will 'BACK TO THE TOP' with the understanding of our mission to be fulfilled, our mission: 'FOUNDED FORMED FOCUSED'.

FOUNDED with a pioneering spirit. FORMED from engineering expertise. FOCUSED on value-add for mobility and beyond.

Core activities of our daily operations:
Increasing efficiency by avoiding waste
Increasing machine utilization by investing in technologies and new equipment
Strengthening regional organizations for faster and more demand-driven action
Merging tasks/functions to avoid duplication of effort
Entry into force of clear rules regarding responsibilities

Who is behind CS&M&A?

Our responsibilities/tasks

Project Management Office (PMO)

As PMO, we are responsible for multi-project management. We make sure that all projects go hand in hand with the corporate strategy. All projects should be handled effectively, on time and on budget. We are the central point and take over the documentation and comparison of the projects. This means that recommendations for process optimization are possible at any time or can be made by us.

Strategy

We take care of the KAMAX strategy - the strategy is the plan that KAMAX will follow in the next few years to achieve 'Back to the Top'.

Basically, a strategy must say in simple words what the company wants to do and what it will not do. With the 'House of Strategy', we are giving guidance on how KAMAX wants to develop over the next few years. An important element of this is to gain an ever stronger foothold in the non-automotive market.

Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A)

We have the coordination and project responsibility of 'Mergers & Acquisitions' activities.

The term 'Mergers and Acquisitions, M&A' originates from the English language and can be translated as the merger of companies and the purchase of companies or company shares. M&A refers to all processes related to the transfer and encumbrance of ownership rights in companies.

An example of 'mergers & acquisitions' are the majority shareholdings in the Robert Schröder Group or, more recently, in the coating expert Galol S.A.

Sustainability/Responsibility

'Sustainability' is one of the biggest topics of our time. It is not only about the sustainable use of resources to protect our environment, but also about social issues ranging from equality to corporate governance. The pace towards a sustainable economy has accelerated significantly in recent times. Our customers and regulators are approaching us with ever stronger sustainability requirements.

‚Corporate Strategy & M&A‘ coordinates this area - Mr. Sven Schindel, Manager Sustainability, has been in charge of these activities since January 1, 2022, and has taken over the management of the sustainability project.
The project is currently working on defining the most important sustainability topics for our company and other fundamental topics that will form the backbone for all future projects and reports in the area of sustainability (for example, an update of our Sustainability Report published for the first time in 2021).

Due to a reorganization, Sven Schindel and thus all activities related to the topic of 'Sustainability' have been assigned to the Legal & Compliance department (Dr. Dorothee Timmermann) - please take note.

Basic information regarding 'Sustainability'.

KAMAX will be a so-called Fast Follower until 2024 in order to gain momentum and fully comply with requirements in this area - in short: we do our homework. After that, KAMAX aims to become a pioneer in the field of "sustainability" with the mission to achieve climate neutrality by 2037. In this way, we want to assume our social responsibility as a family business, achieve a competitive advantage, and enhance our reputation with customers and on the labor market.

Track Record

The 'Track Record' documents the activities in a graphical drawing.
