Tasks

The Plant Controller reports to the CFO-Americas and is a key element of the plant leadership team. This role contributes to all areas of plant management by providing clear, relevant and timely financial insights to the team. The Plant Controller is responsible for driving and coordinating the plant budget and forecasts in alignment with regional and global objectives. This position tracks profit improvement initiatives and provides recommendations to improve site performance. This position is also responsible for creating various spreadsheets and dashboards to support their analysis and insights.

 

  • Driving the budget and forecast processes
  • Ensuring the integrity and accuracy of financial results
  • Highlighting and explaining variances to budget though flex-budget and bridge reports
  • Performing financial forecasting, reporting, and operational metrics tracking
  • Providing analysis of trends and forecasts and recommending actions for optimization
  • Increasing productivity by developing automated reporting/forecasting tools
  • Cooperating closely with finance throughout month- and year-end closing
  • Conducting meetings with plant leadership to analyse budgets, forecast, and actual results
  • Performing annual standard cost determination (tariffs and overheads)
  • Performing inventory costing and valuation
  • Assisting in preparing presentations and reports for local and group management
  • Calculating and verifying savings in regards to cost saving initiatives 
  • Other duties as assigned.

Profile

  • Degree in finance,  business administration or similar degree
  • 3-5  years of experience of relevant plant controlling experience, preferably in automotive
  • Excellent interpersonal, communications,  public speaking  and presentation skills
  • Solid working knowledge of budgeting, sales, and costing processes
  • Hands-on attitude
  • Ability to work under tight schedules and drive projects with high speed
  • Experience and interest in Manufacturing processes
  • MS Excel advance experience is mandatory
  • Desired SAP CO experience
