- Negotiate supply agreements
- Identify and drive cost saving projects independently
- Apply global purchasing systems and procedures used throughout the organization. Continually improve purchasing methods and processes locally and drive down external spending by developing and implementing of cost reduction projects.
- Initiate actions to manage and control/reduce the number of external suppliers with particular emphasis on the purchase of Materials and finished parts for production.
- Identify new suppliers, agree to terms and negotiate supply agreements where appropriate, including discount structures and volume rebates directly and in support of Corporate Purchasing. Provide required documentation and information (specifications, drawings, etc.) to the suppliers
- Forecast price developments for the budgeting process.
- Monthly reports Purchasing KPIs and P-PIPs as established in the KAMAX group.
- Contribute to, respectively lead of interdisciplinary projects.
Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Materials Management, or equivalent and Five years direct buying experience in the automotive industry in a high volume mass production environment.
- First experience in leading and supporting a team to achieve the agreed goals.
- Excellent negotiation skills.
- A broad understanding of supply chain principles and the ability to interpret and communicate complex specifications and instructions.
- Fundamental experiences in SAP MM.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to “make things happen.
- The ability to close negotiations within the guidelines of good business and ethical practices.
