Tasks

  • Oversees the launch of every new part from customer PO through production ramp up for successful launch (timing, quantity and quality)
  • Oversees Engineering changes (customer or internally driven) to ensure a smooth transition from the old revision and also ensures there is as little obsolescence as possible.
  • Oversees transfer of parts between plants.  Coordinates necessary activities with local managers from each plant.
  • Manages and tracks other launch requirements such as EDI, packaging instructions, product standards, etc. for new customers.  Solves issues together with local managers.
  • Identify bottlenecks and roadblocks upfront and facilitate improvement to APQP value stream
  • Create project timeline in cooperation with Sales, Engineering and Operations.  Identify critical path and works with local management to execute the plan.
  • Involved in the early stages of new product development to ensure all areas of the business are ready for the launch.
  • This position will report to the Director of Quality
  • All other duties as assigned

Profile

  • Bachelor´s Degree in engineering, science, quality or similar discipline
  • Experience in quality management systems and in the automotive industry
  • Experience in manufacturing processes in the automotive industry
  • Deep knowledge in Advanced Quality Planning including strong proficiency with the AIAG or/and VDA manuals
  • Good knowledge with ISO/ IATF Quality Systems
  • Experience in the application of QM tools: APQP, FMEA, PPAP, MSA, control plan, Statistical Process Control (SPC), 8Ds
  • Technical/mechanical skills and ability to read engineering drawings
  • Project and/or Program Management experience
  • Proficient in use of computer and common office software (Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
