Tasks

Principal Job Responsibilities:

Responsible for day to day controlling activities, including forecast and budget planning process development, and advise management on short-term and long-term financial objectives, policies and action plans to enhance the production processes within agreed formats and timescales. Analyze monthly department budgeting and accounting reports to maintain expenditure controls. Coordinate and implement cost savings initiatives to optimize cost of goods sold. Responsible for maintaining and optimizing cost accounting system, as well the preparation of business case scenarios to develop opportunities and areas where improvement is needed. Maintain and enhance quotation system and preparation of contribution margin analysis. Meet with company personnel at Rochester Hills, MI, as needed. Coordinate and direct all investment activities in accordance with company policy.

Profile

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree (or foreign educational equivalent) in Business Administration or Industrial Engineering, plus five years of experience in controlling within an international company which must have involved five years of experience in each of the following:  tariffs, activity types, distribution and allocation methods; forecast and budgeting planning; business case development; manufacturing product costing; SAP - Controlling Module in the automotive sector; Manufacturing and Supply Chain Management (inventory control, material workflow, production order sequence and machine capacity); and MS Excel (Macros, and Pivot Tables are required).  Included within the 5 years must have been 3 years of leadership in highly competitive business environment within an international organization, working under tight schedules and driving projects with speed.
